Twende is a multi genre night celebrating weird and wonderful music from all around the globe. Expect some heavy baselines and funky rhythms to throw your limbs around and dance too. On the decks we have;
Sojebe - Hannah rarely sticks to one genre, so expect a tasteful mashup of wordly funk and a fusion of reggaeton, soca, jungle, samba, baile funk, techno; bhangra, dabke, afrobeats and more.
Shifter - Amongst loose limbs and sweaty pits, Shifter, finds his sanctuary—cultivating an atmosphere were upliftment reigns supreme. From Cumbia to Calypso, Salsa to Soukous, or jigs to jungle, Shifter’s bass heavy grooves make you wanna move your feet to the rockinest, rocksteady beat.
Joeti - Dj / Producer explores a multitude of percussive rhythms from across the globe in combination with UK sound system bass-weight.
Okoko - Spinning a selection of dirty dancehall, Hip hop Bhangra and Habibi Funk.

Twende (meaning lets go in Swahili) is events company based in Bristol pushing music from all corners of the world. We work alongside a charity based in Kenya called EKO (Educating Kenyan Orphans) that runs a school in Nairobi providing vital Education for young people in the area. A percentage of our profits from every gig we do is donated to the Charity.
