Back A Yard and RUSHTOWN presents JAMAICA 64 INDEPENDENCE BLUES

It's a tradition Bristol knows well, Caribbean communities have been organising their own blues dances and shebeens since the 60s, with the Bristol Bus Boycott in 1963. This is an evening to commemorate and celebrate the history, resilience, and joy Bristol's Carribbean community has built for itself since the Windrush.

Powered by Haile Bless heavyweight 12V soundsystem:

Live music from the mighty Golden Guild band and Syd Perry

Back A Yard selectas (Synthia, DJ Kez, Nymfro) and

RUSHTOWN residents Azumei and Naughty Nate

Homemade Guinness Punch behind the bar, dominoes, and traditional Yard food from Mama & JJ: jerk chicken, patties, curry goat, and vegan options covered.
