Fire in the Mountain bring the Barn Dance to The Jam Jar this Autumn, with Interstate Express live!
Tunes! Songs! Hoedowns! Barn Dances!
Wednesday 12th October
Fire in the Mountain presents:
Interstate Express
The Jam Jar, Bristol.
Doors open 7.30pm
Join us for a Fire in the Mountain Festival Autumn Party at The Jam Jar in Bristol. We've commissioned this bunch of rapscallions to drive around the country to play their Banjos, Fiddles and Guitars for you as best they can, and entertain you with antiquated songs and ditties you didn't know you'd like until you heard them. For this show at The Jam Jar, we'll definitely be moving the furniture out the way and leading a barn dance later in the evening. Arrive early for some tasty food.
About the Band - Interstate Express
Craig Judelman- Violin, vocals
Joe Buirski - Banjo
Jack B. Latimer - guitar, harmonica, vocals
With their high energy approach to traditional American songs and dance music, Interstate Express shares their love of old stories and passion for the joy of a fiddle tune that drives like a Mercedes on the open road.
The music that developed in America is as diverse as the people who brought it there, from fast banjo and fiddle dance tunes to folk songs, early country, blues and old ballads, this trio plays it all.
As comfortable on a festival stage as a sweaty bar, the band was formed on a long drive from Tennessee to New Orleans and is the newest project of fiddler and singer Craig Judelman, who learned from and performed with some of the great American traditional musicians of the last 50 years. Currently based in Berlin, he is bringing this legacy to European audiences, telling stories and sharing his American culture that goes much deeper than fast food and baseball.
