See event details

A gig held at The Jam Jar on Wednesday 14th May. The event starts at 19:30.

Vientos band fuse dusky South American ballads with British & Irish folk melodies, to reveal hidden hxstories drenched in harmony and call us to be our highest selves in holding nothing back. A cinematic soundscape of queer love in diáspora. “Keeps the folk flame alive, cross-pollinating communities & spaces" - SAM LEE Duo Lunatraktors rework traditional music with influences from post-punk, music hall and pagan rave. Their primal, ritualistic sound blends tonal drumming and harmonic singing with deep drones from accordion and analogue synth. Stripping Anglo-Celtic traditions down to the bare bones before reanimating them in strange new forms, Le Couteur’s overtones and 3+ octave range combine with Jefferson’s polyrhythmic hybrid of tap, flamenco, body percussion and acoustic beats, developed after touring with STOMP (2001–2004). MOJO Top Ten Folk Albums of 2019 and 2021. British Music Collection LGBTQ+ Composers Award 2021.

Entry requirements: 16+, any under 18s accompanied by 21+ adult 1:1 ratio
