Body narratives...
For this new session we will explore the person behind the body. An evening of life drawing paired with the words and experiences of the model. Understanding and learning from one another. I want this event to give people the space to speak about things that are important to them, that have shaped them and their experience, tell us about themselves, as much or as little as people are willing to share. Touching on subjects that are sometimes combative, hard hitting and not your average pub chat! I want this to not only be liberating and cathartic for the model, but also for the attendees. The models will be from all sorts of walks of life and backgrounds. The lgbtq+, differently abled people, sexual assault survivors, BAME, etc…
For our first session we will have Sun (He/They) and Yves (They/Them) modelling and talking for us.
This is a fun, friendly and relaxed session designed for everyone! All abilities are welcome and you don’t need any prior experience! We aim to provide a safe and supportive environment for you to get creative in!
What I am proposing is two 45 minute slots. In the each slot the model would open up about their lives experiences whilst modelling. We will go through a range of poses, varying in length and position. There will be a 30 minute break and after the second sitting time to wind down, check in and talk at the bar.
We start at 7pm, basic materials are provided, it’s £15 per person and all tickets are available on the Headfirst Bristol website.
