Armed with their first studio album since 2014, Red Snapper are coming to play a 90 minute set at The Jam Jar this Spring!
Notorious for casting convention aside, & tearing up the rulebook Red Snapper embrace dark funk, hip-hop, dub, psychedelic surf, afro-jazz and beautiful, fragile soundscapes. For 2.5 decades they have been folding these ingredients into passionate live shows & a unique listening experience.
Their new singles nod back to the dark funk tones of "Prince Blimey" (1994) & "Making Bones" (1996) released on 'Warp', whilst integrating the more euphoric afro aspects of their last album "Hyena" (2014). The only thing unsurprising about Red Snappers creative journey is their commitment to progression & innovation.

The powerful saxophone and drums duo of Andrew Neil Hayes and Matt Brown are fast becoming a household name to all "Jazz" heads in Bristol and further afield. Having been awarded the prestigious Montreux Jazz Talent award in 2019, their latest LP marks a dramatic new direction with heavy psychedelic soundscapes masterminded by producer Riaan Vosloo (Nostalgia 77).
