Uphill Game is a absolutely cracking contemporary jazz quartet led by double-bassist Riaan Vosloo, and features the superb drummer Matt Brown (check out his amazing new band 6161) plus the legendary Get The Blessing horn section of Jake McMurchie on saxophone and Pete Judge on flugelhorn. Riaan's choice of tunes, including his own beguiling originals, is always a delight and a surprise, and the band's obvious synergy belies their infrequent get-togethers. They’re releasing their debut album soon.
