Poetry film is an exciting new way of telling stories, by blending film, soundscapes and poetic words. It’s great diversity makes it exciting and unexpected. Come to the Poetry Film Festival on Saturday 18th October and find out more!

Be in the audience to see inspiring short poetry films throughout the day, vote for the best film in the International Competition, and participate in a talk with award-winning filmmaker Jane Glennie, plus lots more!

The day will include

Jane Glennie (artist and filmmaker known for her distinctive films made from sequences of still photographs) - Fragments and fabrications: poetry film between archives, archaeology, and AI
Selected International Poetry Films plus audience award
The Poetry Film Collective and launch of Poetry film Can Eat You
A feature on Scotland, Ireland and Wales
Launch of the book How to Make a poetry film by Helen Dewbery

There will be plenty of time for discussion, chats, food and drink.

The Lightship does not have step free access.

Entry requirements: 14+, any under 18s accompanied by 21+ adult 1:1 ratio
