A
event
on Saturday 26th February. The event starts at 20:00.
COME AND SEE A FEAT OF ENDURANCE AND MANY WORKS OF ART IN ONE! ALL FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL CAUSE!
Bristol artists have been integral to Temwa's fundraising programme since the charity started; and during that time the wonderful artist FLX has donated a number of pieces which have been sold at our hugely successful art auctions. These help raise money to implement our community development projects in Malawi.
For the best part of ten years FLX has worked with disadvantaged children and young people in Bristol, running community arts projects and street art workshops in the city.
In March this year FLX will be travelling to visit Temwa's projects in Usisya and use his skills to work on a community mural project with school children and local artists. The grand unveiling of the mural will be at one of our much attended and enjoyed community open days. This is the first time that FLX will be undertaking a community art project abroad, and Temwa is extremely happy that he is donating his time to our cause!
To raise money for this project, FLX will be attempting to draw for a world record-breaking 24 hours, non-stop, at Bristol's King of Paint Gallery, between the 26th and 27th February.
If you want to come and watch FLX breaking the creative pain barrier for a very worthy cause, then do pop in on the weekend of the 26th-27th, say hello, and donate on the spot.
The event will take place at:
King of Paint, 9a Haymarket Walk, Bristol BS1 3LN
(between the bus station and the Bear Pit)
Time: 10:00am Saturday 26th February to 10:00am Sunday 27th February
