AFRO-CUBAN BODY MOVEMENT workshop

I’m very happy to announce my new Afro-Cuban Body Movement workshop , a special Class journey exploring the roots, technique, and body language of Afro-Cuban dance.

Arará (Babalu Aye) – healing, earth and resilience

Through these four sessions, we will focus on Afro-Cuban technique as a fundamental base for body movement, helping dancers develop coordination, flow, grounding and musicality for Cuban and Latin social dance styles.

What to expect :

Learn fundamental steps and movement vocabulary

Explore the essence and intention of Arara , Babalu Aye

Break down body isolations and mechanics

Understand how Afro-Cuban movement shapes social dance

In the second part of each class, we will work with traditional Cuban social genres such as Son Cubano, salsa and others, blending Afro-Cuban dance with social styles to apply the technique in a practical and authentic way.

As well I’m will add some important techniques like turns and hands movements very important for dance .

This course is ideal for dancers who want to strengthen their body awareness, connect with Afro-Cuban roots, and improve their social dance technique.
