We are delighted to welcome back Burgess and Slide back to The Kingsdown!
Burgess and Slide are an East Bristol trio playing 21st century country blues and telling tales of the common folks lives in songs you can dance, weep and drink to.
Lead vocalist and wordsmith in chief, Burgess's voice is equal parts silk and gravel. His trademark unhurried delivery is reminiscent of Fred Neil and Jackson C. Frank, punctuated by Dylan inspired harmonica breaks.
Slide Hambidge drives the music with his intricate guitar work and idiosynchratic rhythms developed before his previous career as guitarist to John E. Vistic.
Stand up bass man Bill Crampton's deep tones make the music stomp and pump, ebb and flow. The sound is as infectious as it is intriguing.
