The Dangerous Curves at The Kingsdown Wine Vaults

A gig held at Kingsdown Vaults on Saturday 19th July. The event starts at 20:00.

The Dangerous Curves are a string band from straight out of the country. Turning their backs on the clang of the city and the mechanised beat of the factories they also left the drummer behind.

Each of the Curves cut their teeth in successful hillbilly, psychobilly, alt-country and rockabilly bands. Meeting on the open road they found common ground in a shared love of American music from old time, appalachia and bluegrass, through the honky tonks with Lefty Frizzell and George Jones right up the line to Hank III and Corb Lund.

The songs they play are as old as the hills and as fresh as a mountain stream and Americana through and through.

If you've ever had your heart broken, if you've ever been lonely, if you've ever been so tired you couldn't stand up or so drunk you couldn't lie down without spinning, The Dangerous Curves have got a song for you. And if you just want to dance don't worry, you'll find you don't need drums to make a beat for your feet to move to!
