Do-It-Yourself Synth Building and Electronics Day
"Free entry! All day soldering high courtesy of the modular nerds @ Machina Bristronica, daisy-chaining the hell out of KIT FORM with circuit hacking, workshops, free-for-all synth jams, live performances and more."
Join the Headfirst mailing list for our unbiased recommendations.
An event held at KIT FORM on Saturday 10th October. The event starts at 12:00.
Hack a bunch of noisy toys, build your own video synthesizer, learn basic electronics repair skills and solder some music machines!
Although theres no Machina Bristronica this year we're keeping the flame alive with a full afternoon of DIY workshops at the wonderful KIT FORM, hosted by our friends and soldering experts Synth Shed.
Plenty of family friendly and free workshops, including Circuit Bending, Basic Electronics Repair and a Synth Jam Table! For those looking to take away a souvenir from the day, we'll have a wealth of kits from UK Synth DIY store Thonk and design legends Music Thing Modular, plus drop-in sessions from Wales' Dwyfor Tech, 808 and oscillator kits from Synth Shed.
Dwyfor Tech, Music Thing Modular + Thonk workshops have limited stock so in order to make sure we don't over subscribe please reserve you spot by purchasing a ticket for these workshops above.
Basic Electronics Repair, Circuit Bending and Synth Shed kits are are drop-in and do not require reservation. However if you're wanting to do some Circuit Bending we recommend bringing a noisy toy of your own (usually very readily available in charity shops) - we will have a small number on the day for anyone who can't source one.
