Perpetually Stew at KIT FORM
See event details

A event held at KIT FORM on Thursday 11th September. The event starts at 19:45.

Perpetually Stew invites you to the 10th instalment of a Bristol event series platforming artists who use performance and movement in their practice.

Each month we are inviting a different selection of performance artists to explore new or old work in an intimate space, and offer the opportunity to engage with constructive feedback and discussion on each other’s craft.
Practitioners of all skill levels and experience are invited to KIT FORM to join us and duly stew.

On Thursday 11th of September we’ll be hosting a fresh cohort of artists from across the UK to share their work at KIT FORM gallery. The cohort includes Michaela Shahini, Riley Hamshaw-Mills, George Valentine Avill and more.

Michaela Shahini is a sound and sculpture artist based in Bristol. Their practice follows the tension between preservation and decay, exploring themes of resonance, distortion, and the artifacting of memory. Recent works include EKKO, a sound sculpture built from metal and concrete that is bowed and struck to produce shifting tones – resonating with themes of industrial biology and the erosion of signal over time.

Riley Hamshaw-Mills is a performance artist from the sea, based in Norwich. Edging on the err of fantastical belief systems, absurd notions on existence and visuals from bleak seaside towns, Riley uses performance to construct narratives of personal truths, and satirical lies, to expand his own understandings of the world around him and enrich the art world with more working class voices.
