Perpetually Stew at KIT FORM
See event details

A event held at KIT FORM on Wednesday 19th February. The event starts at 20:00.

The 6th instalment of an event series focussing on creating a space for people who use performance and movement in their artistic practice.

We are inviting a different selection of visual artists each month to explore new or old work in an intimate space and engage afterwards in constructive feedback on each other’s craft. Practitioners of all skill levels and experience are invited to KIT FORM to join us and duly stew.

In this edition we will be hosting performances from Ozzy Algar, Anastsaia Dahl, Buoys Buoys Buoys and Malena Grilli.

Ozzy Algar
We are in the Speed Queen, the last launderette on the Isle of Wight! Ozzy Algar is a theatre maker, folklore researcher and clown.

Anastasia Dahl
Anastasia Dahl is a performance artist and sociologist from St. Petersburg, now based in Bristol. Dahl works with the tools of contemporary dance, somatic movement and improvisation to trace beauty in the mundane. The piece is in collaboration with a Bristol-based sound artist and experimental music producer, Martin Viktorov. His practice revolves around creating pleasantly disruptive audio compositions through the use of unconventional processing techniques, combining analog and digital gear, field recording and found material.

Buoys Buoys Buoys
Buoys Buoys Buoys is a folklorist and multidisciplinary artist based from Swansea.
Buoys Buoys Buoys uses improvised performances to reimagine Celtic history and folktales through absurd storytelling and public play; exploring themes of Queer masculinity, contemporary ritual magic, and working class Welsh folk culture.

Malena Grilli
Malena Grilli (Buenos Aires - 1986) is an Argentinian artist, dancer and performer based in Bristol. She has a Degree and a Teacher Diploma in History of Arts (dance, theater and cinema). In 2016, she completed a MA in Dance while living in Paris.
Malena has been working for many years in the cultural, educational and artistic sector running projects intended for different people and nationalities; from children in school settings to older people in care homes. In addition, Malena has worked in festivals and other events teaching social dances such as ballroom dance, Latin dance, etc. Since 2018 Malena has been working in the care sector as support worker with adults with learning disabilities. She is passionate about body language, body techniques and non-verbal communication. Her training in ballet, contemporary dance, somatic techniques, aerial dance and tango gives her an emphasis on movement that allows her to explore different ways of interacting and express herself as well as supporting others to do so.
