SMTG: Andy Leake

Continuing from the success of our live interview series in winter 2024 , bringing the queer community together for open and relaxed topical conversations

We are excited to welcome our first guest of 2025.... Andy Leake, LGBT+ Editor for Bristol24/7 and freelance LGBT+ culture journalist.

Usually the one asking the questions, it's Andy's turn to be in the hot seat

Hosted by the amazing Lisa Inneh from dirt collective.

We'll be covering Andy's career from infiltrating the industry with no journalism degree or industry connections, to LGBT+ travel writer, LGBT+ Editor for Bristol24/7, working with Attitude Magazine and publishing a book chapter.

We'll talk industry insights, highs and lows, behind-the-scenes intel and tips on starting a career in the creative industries.

All proceeds from Ticket Sales will be donated to urgent support for a Trans Azerbaijani Man who helped Andy translate his interviews when he was in Istanbul for work

This man has since been deported by Turkey, and is facing health, financial, and post-traumatic hardships having been held in a discriminatory Turkish detention centre

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
