Made of Straw and Still Standing at Knowle West Media Centre
See event details

A event on Thursday 29th May. The event starts at 18:30.

Join us for an inspiring night exploring community-led design in our eco-building made with straw-bales, including stories from the original young designers who co-created it 18 years ago!

Why did they decide the building should be made of straw? What journey did they go on to imagine, design and make a media centre for Knowle West and see the building come to life?

Find out how communities are still pushing the boundaries today with natural materials and imagining better futures. Be part of a lively discussion around what’s next for community-led design and making.
