Based in the heart of St.Paul’s, kuumba centre is historically, a recognised afro Caribbean cultural centre, and in parts has an extensive portfolio, invested in providing performing arts to the local and wider community!

MESSENJAH YOUTH SOUND SYSTEM, outta Swindon this warrior is keeping H.I.M Ras Tafar I Banner waving High in Sound System culture, never leaving the foundation and essence of roots dub music. With his own Handcrafted (HEAVY WIEGHT) sound system, this is one session not to be missed

RISING YOUTH is a collective of Spanish reggae music lovers based in Bristol.
They built a small handmade sound system in 2021 to spread the teachings and messages of Jah music with everyone through heavy bass lines and african drums.
Since then, they have recorded several mixtapes and organized small outdoor gatherings around Bristol area and gigs at venues like Kuumba Centre, always learning and contributing to the sounds system culture in the UK.
Their essence is to give high vibes with crucial roots and dub selections preserving sound quality and making people dance.

FREEDUB MOVEMENT SOUND, has developed from running a weekly session at the Full Moon over a decade ago and is back with more positive vibes.

Bringing soundsystem culture musicians and singers together with an organic element.

Freedub Movement soundsystem has played many community events such as carnivals and free parties, and most recent the Spring Session at Kuumba.

Freedub Movement for the people bringing a positive impact in the Bristol music scene.
