New Moon Drawing Circle is an event open to all to celebrate the New Moon in Aries on the 21st of March 2023. Drawing will be used as a creative way of understanding, visualising and manifesting our intentions for the coming lunation.
Traditionally, moon circles were a sacred gathering of women in order to celebrate the new and full moons. The circles were used to call into the divine feminine, and as a way of grounding, centring, and receiving higher wisdom. Without wishing to undermine these womanly practices, the event offers the opportunity to experiment with the Moon energy to all those who are interested regardless of their sex, gender and background, etc.
THE NEW MOON CIRCLE
Off all the cycles, new moons represent the beginnings and are a time for planting seeds and setting intentions for our dream and wishes to come true. In the circle, everyone is called in listening and connecting to others, setting intentions, clarifying energy, and working through something beneficial in a collective sense.
The participants will be asked of thinking, set and write their intentions accompanied by meditation. If comfortable, they then will share at least one with the others agreeing that what is shared in the circle remains in the circle. Everyone will be responsible for creating an atmosphere of acceptance and trust.
In a successive phase, participants will have the opportunity to translate into an image their intentions by making a collaborative drawing or their personal one if preferred. Drawing skills are not required and materials will be provided even if you can bring your ones if preferred.
Drawing aims to help the process of visualisation, the practice of creating mental images or pictures in your mind in order to achieve a specific goal or outcome. Visualisation is the first step through manifestation, the process of bringing something into being or making it a reality through deliberate action.
