A event on Wednesday 26th August. The event starts at 19:00.
Wednesday 26th August is the first meeting of Bristol's new vegan baking club! Attendees are invited to bring a plant-based bake to the Left Handed Giant Brewpub (Hawkins Lane, BS1) for a casual evening of eating and mingling.
The rules are:
(1) Attendees must bring a bake according to the theme! This month's theme is 'Spot the Vegetable'.
(2) Bakes MUST be vegan. Whether you are a full-time vegan, part-time vegan, or not vegan at all, your contribution must be free from all animal-derived products (incl. milk, eggs, honey, cheese, gelatine or animal-derived food colourings).
(3) NO NUTS! This is a condition of the venue. Please take it seriously, as any contraventions may mean we are unable to meet there in the future.
(4) No judgement, discrimination or shaming. We are all trying our best, and for some attendees, this may be a first introduction to veganism. Let's not give ourselves a bad name!
This event is currently FREE and I would like to keep it that way to avoid cost barriers for those on low/no income. However, should unavoidable costs arise (venue hire, marketing fees) these will be kept as low as possible and split evenly between attendees.
***SPOT THE VEGETABLE - August's theme is an invitation to sneak a vegetable into your bake! Contributions can be as weird and wacky as you like, but if you're struggling for inspiration think carrot cake, chocolate courgette cake, black bean brownies...***
