Fronted by Marc"Mother's Ruin" Griffiths on banjo, guitar & vocals & Screamin' Miss April Jackson on washboard & vocals, an exciting new Bristol-based band bringing you old jug & country songs like you've never heard them before, from foot-stompin' banjo bonanzas to heart-wrenching blues ballads.

Also featuring the slide-guitar stylings of Mr. Howlin' Lord, and the harmonica tootlings & cameo vocals of Mr. Henry Slim, Miss Suzie Purdie on Vox and many other friends.

Sam Whitlock has been gigging since 2011 and has played at some of the best venues in Bristol, supporting some of the best acts in the local folk scene.

His live shows have always been full of beans and have held a fast momentum.

Sam Whitlock's songs fall somewhere between folk, blues, country and punk and mainly deal with personal issues, thoughts, and general day to day living.
