Yes tropicalistas! We have just landed from Croatia, Goulash Disko where we saw out the most epic summer of our lives! And we feel so thankful for our incredible journey this summer, that we have decided to celebrate at our beloved LeftBank Bristol by gathering some of our favourite festival champions and vibe-spreaders... AAA Badboy, ~Gypsy Disco~ (DJ set), DJ Hiphoppapotamus and Count Bassy.

As per usual we'll be transforming the Leftbank into a tropical paradise and laying on the leis, limbo and GOOD VIBES! So come on down and feel like its still Summer!

A little something about the DJs....

AAA Badboy - AKA Kaptin, AKA Boomtown Fair's head of music is an all-round legendary nice guy and a self admitted music addict! We've never met anyone with such an ear for so many styles of music from across globe, and with a particular love for Reggae, Dancehall, Afro, Soca and Global sounds we VERY are excited to see what he pulls out of his collection for this one!

~Gypsy Disco~ (DJ set) - The Gypsy Disco family of travelling performers is lead by the lovely Jared. Running festival venues and curating epic performances at events worldwide this man is one the hardest working party-pioneers going. He is also a fantastic DJ providing the soundtrack to his collective's performances. As well as his love for the knees-up gypsy sound he has a strong affinity for world music that will go down a storm in the TTP!

DJ Hiphoppapotamus - Tropical Tea Party's chief noisemaker and music programmer, if you're familiar with us at TTP I'm sure you already know about him and his love for fusing tropical sounds with all forms of dance music be it Boogaloo with Breaks, Afrobeat with House, Reggae with Hip Hop or Brazilian with Jungle! And with new releases in the pipeline you may just a get a chance to hear an exclusive... or two... or three!

Count Bassy - Perhaps one of the festival's unsung heroes, this man is likely better-known behind the scenes than in front. He manages stages, programmes acts and all-round produces venues and events throughout the year as a key part of top event production squad Continental Drifts! Unsurprisingly he is also a fantastic DJ and, with his Drifts colleagues, has recently started his Global Beats Club events in London that certainly receives the TTP seal of approval! He is a VERY close friend of the TTP and we cannot wait to have him for his first gig in Bristol!

Entry is £5 before 9.30pm or £7 after. Apologies that there are no pre-sale tickets due to Leftbank's size, so be sure to get down early to guarantee entry and the first 100 people through the door get a free lei (Hawaiian flower necklace).
