As you were growing up, how did the people around you respond when you were angry? Were you accepted or criticised? Can you express your anger freely? Anger can be uncomfortable, but so are repression and resentment. When we lose touch with our Mars, problems often follow. In the worst cases, we may encounter violence outside ourselves, becoming victims of our own unexpressed anger.
In astrology, beyond the familiar big three — the Sun, Moon, and Ascendant — there are other key players such as Venus, Mercury, and Mars. Mars symbolises our capacity to fight for ourselves, and the face of our anger.
Mars doesn’t always have to show itself in destructive ways. In fact, it’s only when we repress this part of us — when we pretend it doesn’t exist — that it can erupt like a volcano, taking us by surprise. Becoming conscious of Mars gives us the chance to choose how we express it. That’s why we need to talk about Mars, and talk about our anger.
In this workshop, you will explore:
.What Mars means in astrology
.What happens when we become disconnected from Mars
.The significance of your Mars sign
How meditation and drawing can help you engage with your own aggression in a healthier way
