Igniting Playfulness: Carving vegetable stamps and printing playful pattern at L'Étoile Studio
See event details

A event held at L'Étoile Studio on Friday 6th March. The event starts at 18:00.

Spring is here and invites you to reconnect with the playful child within you no matter what age you are now! Being in a state of play calms the nervous system and at the same time boosts brain function, encourages innovative thinking and improves memory. If you would like a little inspiration on how to ignite your playfulness through creativity, this workshop is for you. We will open our session with a playful sensory exercise and then share* (*sharing is always optional) what awakens a sense of playfulness in us in daily life and/or what we enjoyed most playing when we were children. Our creative activity will start with carving stamps from potatoes and other root vegetables with small carving tools. Then we will paint them with watercolours and press them into paper in various combinations to create mandalas or other patterns. We will share the stamps with each other so there will be a bigger variety and also a collective element in the creative process. At the end of the workshop, you will have at least one art piece (but probably many more!) made with veg stamps. You don’t need to have any experience with arts of crafts to join this workshop. £15-20 pp when: Friday 6.3. 6 - 8pm where: L’Étoile Gallery, 18 West St, Bristol BS2 0BH

Entry requirements: 16+, any under 18s accompanied by 21+ adult 1:1 ratio
