Wyrd Ways is a new creativity club for artists & makers to encourage & support each other over a 3-month project from start to finish.
All artistic mediums & disciplines are welcome, amateur & pro alike.

The project theme this time is ‘Illusion’.

Every fortnight we will share studio space for 4 hours to:

✧ check-in
✧ share ideas & inspiration
✧ co–work, collab, assist
✧ feedback & critique each other’s work
✧ support each other to share works with wider community

The project structure offers a focused direction for artistic expression. Facilitation of the sessions will be minimal, with the possibility to take turns facilitating!

Stage 1 - Inception: Research & tests

Stage 2 - Development: Creating & refining the body of work or piece

Stage 3 - Completion: Choosing & executing final forms. End circle / critique. Potential to organise exhibition & enter competitions

For artists & makers who wish to:

✧ receive & give constructive criticism
✧ benefit from the motivation & exchanges that a project-based community can offer
✧ participate in a framework whilst guiding their own creative practice

A neuroqueer would-be artist; I crave the structure, practical support & accountability found in formal education, but in more accessible ways. This pilot project is intended to provide a platform for mutual offerings of time & attention - towards unblocking paths to creation.

Sliding scale: £70 - £100 for 7 sessions, 4 hours each, over 3 months… a few quid per hour of art circle studio time!

Higher cost places can open up lower cost places for others, so please pay as you can. If ticket sales exceed the cost of the space for the 7 sessions, the rest will go into exhibiting and/or back into everyone's pockets.

2 pay-as-you-go drop-in places available for those living with disabling circumstances.
