Bring the magic of the goddess into your home by making a Brigid doll!
An immersive workshop to welcome the coming of the brighter days and celebrate Imbolc by making a traditional folkloric Brigid straw Doll.
Immerse yourself in the enchanting celebration of Imbolc, an ancient Celtic festival that blossoms from the rich roots of pre-Christian Britain. Celebrated by many modern neo-pagans today, Imbolc marks the sacred midpoint between the winter solstice and the arrival of spring, falling on February 1st and 2nd. The name "Imbolc" translates to "in the belly of the Mother," symbolizing how the seeds of new life are beginning to stir deep within Mother Earth’s embrace.
This vibrant festival is intimately connected to the goddess Brigid—also known as Brighid, Bride, or Brigit—who embodies fertility, poetry, craftsmanship, and prophecy. She is invoked in blessings for growth and inspiration, guiding us as we welcome the coming season.
Join us for an engaging journey into Imbolc’s history and symbols, and partake in a heartfelt ritual. Together, we'll craft a Brigid doll decorated with lush greenery from the garden, along with the first blooms, colorful ribbons, and meaningful beads—each element imbued with our intentions for renewal and growth. Let’s celebrate the awakening of spring and the enduring magic of this ancient festival!
