Travelling in Dreams - Art Workshop at L'Étoile Studio
See event details

A event held at L'Étoile Studio on Sunday 22nd June. The event starts at 17:30.

The dreamer is an artist and the artist is a dreamer. Through engaging our creative selves with the rich material of the dreamscape we gain fresh insights into ourselves and our world and bring multi-levels of meaning to our artwork.
Who hasn’t travelled in their dreams? It has long been held that we leave our bodies in the night and venture further afield. Do you dream by train, bus, car, plane, horse, bicycle or boat? Do you walk, levitate, fly unaided or travel underwater without the need for breathing apparatus? And what kinds of landscape do you travel through? What artistic medium would best express this?
Come, experience the wonderment of collective dream art, and the revelatory experience of Social Dreaming, all in a safe welcoming ambience, with all materials provided and with absolutely no artistic proficiency required!

The workshop is run by Marta Isabella Reina and Alex Heron.

Alex Heron is an experienced trainer who has been leading Dreamwork courses in Britain and abroad for many years. He is qualified in psychology and counselling and has studied with renowned teachers of shamanic dreaming.

Marta (Mireinart) is a visual artist who works on symbolism, folklore, magic,
mythological and religious imagery. She runs themed arts and crafts classes centred on folk celebrations and mystical practices, while actively promoting tarot culture through lectures, courses, and events. Her research extends into dreaming, where she conducts experiential workshops that explore the connection between dreams and drawing. She is currently investigating mutual dreaming by collecting experiences of Shared Synchronic Dreams through her project www.doppelnovelle.com.
