Join us as we guide you through the skill of traditional Life Drawing, with a twist of spiritual practise! We will learn to observe and express the aura//life force energy of the model as they interact with objects in a playful and ritualistic way.

✨During the hour and a half session, we will share with you skills to empower your drawing of the body, with fun and expressive exercises of drawing the model as they move and dance in a ritualistic manner. There will also be many moments of landing in stillness for you to practise your traditional body drawing. There will be prompts for you to observe the energy of the model connecting with the props in the space.

Over the four weeks, we will work our way through the 4 elements, embodying the 5th element of spirit through each session.

26th March- Fire
2nd April- Earth
9th April- Water
16th April- Air

Each session will have an altar space for you to add to if you wish, with movement, sound and props linked to the element of the week.


The sessions will run as follows:

- Warming up your drawing skills!: 2 minuet poses, some fun drawing techniques, expressing the model as they move around the space, paired drawing exercise and blind drawing techniques.

- Short poses (5mins//10 mins): Giving your traditional drawing techniques to explore and play with; whilst drawing the model in stillness inspired by the element of the week

- Short poses with movement (x2 10 mins): Expressing the movement energy of the model emulating the element; how does this weave into the traditional body drawing? How do we express energy through colour, movement and mark making?

- Longer poses (15mins//20mins): Time for you to really delve into all we have been exploring! Visualising and drawing the energy of the model in stillness, interacting with the props in the space/around the altar. How does the model connect with objects in the space; as well as the energy of the element?

Post drawing: time is available at the end to share what you learnt/any feedback and to show your work from this session if you'd like to.
