Craftivism presents, part.2;

Creative Workshop: Palestinian Herbs & Watercolour

Facilitated by Jamila – Bristol‑based Palestinian artist
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/artful.narrative

Join Jamila for a gentle, creative session celebrating Palestinian culture through plants, stories, and art.

Together, we will discover and learn about traditional Palestinian herbs—their Arabic names, symbolism, and the landscapes and habitats where they grow. Drawing on cultural knowledge and lived connection, Jamila will share how these plants are woven into daily life, memory, and identity in Palestine.

In response, Jamila will guide participants through a watercolour painting practice, focusing on the specific herbs explored in the session. This is a space to slow down, create, and connect—honouring the deep cultural significance these plants hold for Palestinian people.

Preserving culture through creativity, all funds raised from this workshop will go directly to organisations supporting people in Gaza.
