A event held at L'Étoile Studio on Wednesday 27th September. The event starts at 19:30.


L'étoile Studio is honoured to present a poetry reading night - hopefully the first of some others in our space! On Wednesday the 27th of September 2023 from 7.30 we'll be delighted by the words of four authors and poets.

MARK ANTHONY PEARCE 7.30

Mark Anthony Pearce lives and works as a Receptionist in Bristol. He is the author of nine books of Poetry, most recently 'Lanyard' (April 2023, Two Key Customs).
His poems have appeared in over 21 journals online and in print including Horror, Sleaze, Trash, Winamop, Between Shadows Press & Open Arts Forum.

JEREMY TOOMBS 7.45 PM

Illinois-born, Kentucky-raised, resident of Bristol, Jeremy Toombs has published two books of Poetry 'Ten Thousand Things' (Burning Eye Press, 2013) & 'Who Knows?' (Burning Eye Press, 2017). From 2010-2018 he helped run the now legendary Arts House Open Mic nights, in Stokes Croft.

Gwil James Thomas is a poet, novelist and inept musician. He lives in his home town of Bristol but has also lived in London, Brighton and Spain. He has twice been nominated for The Best of The Net and once for The Pushcart Prize. Wild River Carry Me To Sea is his twelfth chapbook of poetry, which is currently available from backroompoetry.co.uk
