RIOT ACT- Bristol’s Madcap DIY Cabaret Club Night- returns to The Loco Klub with a bang this November with a powerhouse lineup fit to close out the year in style.
Welcome to RIOT ACT; The November Nice Up!

At the top of our bill, we have two heavyweight legends of UK Comedy who need little introduction.

Multi award-winning international smash-hit comedy Prankstar Dom Joly headlines the November Nice Up with characteristic riotous flair. Creator of the legendary Trigger Happy TV, join him on a high octane ride through the wild, the unexpected and the downright hilarious!
Sharp, whip-smart and brilliantly funny, comedy hero Ian Stone takes to our stage with a masterclass in stand up to remember! One of the top ten stand-ups in Britain (The Independent) and “a masterful exponent of self-mocking Jewish humour” (The Times), Ian is one of the most talented and celebrated topical acts in the country. With a veritable hoard of awards and accolades under his belt in a landmark career which now spans four decades, come and see one of the great masters of comedy at work!
Alongside them, dancefloor legend, turntable hero and Queen of Bristol sound DJ Queen Bee takes to the wheels of steel to close our last show of the year with an exclusive DJ set to remember. From cutting her teeth on St. Paul's pirate stations in the late 80s to setting dancefloors alight the world over, Queen Bee has been a central figure of the Bristol sound from its very inception. Continuing to mash up clubs, festivals and airwaves with her distinctive blend of Reggae, Afro Beat, Rare Groove, Funk and Dancehall, come and see one of our city’s great musical heroes in action!
Comedy Sensation Mel Owen, dubbed “Wales’ most exciting act” (Clwb Comedy), whose work in both English and Welsh explores modern femininity with unforgettable fiery flare. With a sell-out 5 star Edinburgh Fringe run and a slew of diverse and impressive script writing credits under her belt, Mel is undeniably one of the most exciting new forces in UK Comedy.
Fiery, electrifying and Welsh as f*ck, reigning champion of the prestigious Glastonbury Festival Poetry Slam Georgia Griffiths, whose virtuoso verse talents are making serious waves on the scene right now. Fresh from opening for Pete Doherty onstage at the Trinity, Georgia dives deep into raw experience of love, loss, class and connection to turn real life into art that resonates. A leading light in a fresh movement of young people making serious noise right now, come and see a poet like no other!
Local Clowning hero Alistair Aitcheson, whose innovative blend of clowning with modern tech is breaking new ground in the cabaret world. An award-winning game developer gone rogue in a red nose, Alistair blends the absurd, the hilarious and the downright outrageous as he asks you the audience to control the action onstage. What could possibly go wrong?
And RIOT ACT Instigators Sam Riot and Stephen Bisland raise their tins of Thatchers once more to host a fast-growing Bristolian crowd favourite open mic, with 3min slots available on the door to practitioners of all performance styles.
