A
clubnight
held at Loco Klub
on Saturday 17th May. The event starts at 22:00.
Queerky is back! And we have the back of our Trans+ siblings! Come and join us for a night of resistance!
While we dance, we collect money to support the Trans community in both Bristol and Budapest!
To keep the morale high in these times of struggle, we have invited the notorious Zeynep!
A Berlin-based Syrian DJ, with a captivating ability to shape-shift genres and a sound that is a luscious fusion of intoxicating rhythms and hypnotic beats. Each set becomes an experience – a playground where time and space melt away, leaving only raw power and ecstatic movement; a signature that has earned her a residency at Prague’s Harmony Rec.
Joining her on the decks are three of Queerky's resident DJS: Diszko, Obra, and Spot My G! Expect a fusion of hypnotic melodies, high-energy rhythms, and a sexy mixture of techno and breakbeat kicks.
QUEERKY WILL DONATE £500 TO SUPPORT THE TRANS + COMMUNITY IN BRISTOL AND HUNGARY! WE INVITE ALL OF YOU TO MATCH THIS AMOUNT WITH YOUR OPTIONAL DONATION AT THE HEADFIRST PAGE CHECKOUT! TOGETHER WE CAN DOUBLE IT!
Doors - 22:00
Last Entry - 01:00
Close - 04:00
As always, Queerky & Loco Klub foster a positive, safer, sexy, and outrageously LGBTQ+ space for us to gather and dance together!
GET YOUR TICKET IN ADVANCE to help the party!
+ DONATE at the checkout for the Trans+ Community! :D
We will donate to:
- SAFE SPACE BRISTOL
It's an organisation calling on Bristol businesses to show they are safe spaces for trans people after the Supreme Court ruling. This fundraiser will help Safe Space Bristol take the concept from social media into physical spaces, with printing of stickers and charters which businesses can display to show their commitment.
- HATTER SOCIETY
It's a NGO based in Budapest, which since 1995 has been fighting for LGBTQAI+ rights in Hungary. We will donate to their newly opened branch, which specialises in trans rights. Our siblings over there have been seriously challenged since the Orbán IV government passed the Hungarian anti-LGBT law in 2021, and the climate keeps rapidly declining with the recent abolition of Pride celebrations.
*If you can't attend the party but still want to contribute to the donation, you can purchase a £5 "donation only" ticket.
This will fully go toward the cause, and it's not a ticket for the party.

MORE ABOUT QUEERKY:
—--------------------------------------
QUEERKY is a rave party, but first of all, it’s a Queer gathering. A reminder to everyone that QUEERKY is a queer safer space. Allies that respect the ethics of the party are welcomed and valued! Come join the family!
VIBE CHECK
On arrival, expect a VIBE CHECK on the door. This is not to check your clothes - Queerky does not have a dress code! - but to make sure we all are on the same page regarding club ethics and appropriate behaviours at parties.
Our main aim in this process is to build a community of queers and allies committed to fostering safer spaces.
• Lack of support for this shared goal (aka infraction of our Basic Rules)
• Not showing any interest or dedication to learning and listening about the process
• Being too intoxicated for us to assess your commitment to our principles
These are the sole criteria on the basis of which you may be denied the right to entry. In this instance, tickets will be refunded directly via Headfirst.
BASIC RULES
Behaviour we will not tolerate at our parties includes the following:
1. Violence of any kind, including threatening behaviour or intimidation. This should be obvious!
2. Harassment, including any form of discriminatory remarks based on race, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, (dis-)ability, age, or body shape.
3. Unwanted attention, including unwelcome sexualised compliments, touching (including hair) or staring. Always ask for consent and ensure others are comfortable with your behaviour towards them.
WELFARE
We have a WELFARE team that looks after everyone's well-being throughout the party, and it is the first point of contact for you should any problem arise. Please don't be shy, if in need come speak to us at the welfare table or to the SIA team at the entrance. Help us to help you, we guarantee privacy and discretion.
A SAFER COMMUNITY
We are committed to changing the nightlife culture. We are all in this together, a community of peers helping one another. Here are some general guidelines to support this shared goal:
• Respect our basic rules (see above)!
• Ask for pronouns, and otherwise use they/them.
• Please leave and give space on the dance floor; everyone has the right to be at the front through the night!
• Take good care of your friends and the people around you.
• If you witness any of your friends being ignorant or unthoughtful of our policies, please call them out.
• Own your fuck ups, apologise and let's learn from one another
• PLEASE REPORT HARASSMENT! It's the only way we can keep our dance floor safe!
NO PHOTOS PLZ
To respect the privacy of the people attending the party and foster a more present dance floor culture. Also, we have a naked-to-the-belt policy, so please be respectful and don't take pictures or videos. Members of the vibe-check team will place stickers on your phone's cameras as a reminder.
LAST ENTRY
Please come by no later than 00.45 to allow time for the vibe check. Last entry is strictly at 1 am.
CUDDLE PADDLE
We like to provide a soft-furnished decompression space in the tunnel near the dance floor for you to relax and rest in between dances. But unfortunately, it’s not a playroom, so please be respectful :P
ACCESSIBILITY
Loco Klub is fully wheelchair accessible, with lower bar counters and dedicated toilets. All toilets are gender-neutral. Unfortunately, the floor is a bit uneven.
A quiet space completely separate from the party tunnels is available should you need it.
If you consider yourself a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and you are unemployed or in financial struggle and can't afford a ticket to the party, please email us at [email protected]
We'll help you out: NO ONE TURNED AWAY FOR LACK OF FUNDS
We also collaborate with Pride Without Borders and other associations, so a bunch of free tickets for refugees and other protected categories will always be available at the door (or by contacting us via email).
We are doing our best, and we are open to suggestions! This is an ongoing process, and we are committed to learning and taking feedback on board. Tell us what we can do to make things better at [email protected] or message us on IG @Queerky.sets
