A gig held at Loco Klub on Sunday 14th March. The event starts at 16:30.
Inspired by a genuine passion for concerts and encouraged by some lovely friends, we had the idea to organise a small but meaningful rock and metal festival. We are a group of friends who are truly passionate about live gigs, and our aim is to bring talented artists and bands to share their music with everyone here in Bristol.
To celebrate our love of rock and metal, inspired by the stories of our ancient legends, we’re excited to introduce - The Leshen Festival! Join us for five hours of fantastic live performances, featuring four talented bands playing lively and energetic riffs at the Loco Stage. We can’t wait to see you there!
We’re excited to share that for our very first festival, we’ve had the pleasure of inviting the legendary Polish heavy metal band, Turbo!
Turbo is one of the most important and longest-running heavy metal bands in Poland. Founded in 1980 in Poznan, the band has remained active both on stage and in the studio for over four decades, releasing twelve studio albums, performing thousands of concerts in numerous countries across Europe. In March 2025, Turbo released Blizny (Scars) - its first studio album of new material in eleven years. Released by Mystic Production, the album reached No. I on Poland's official OLiS sales chart and earned the band a Fryderyk Award nomination in 2026.
For more than 45 years, Turbo has stood among the most important and influential bands in Polish heavy metal. Albums such as Grown-Ug Children (Dorosle Dzieci), Satan' Cavalry (Kawaleria Szatana), Taste of Silence (Smak Ciszy) and The Last Warrior (Ostatni Wojownik) have become classics of the genre, while the song Grown-Up Children (Dorosle Dzieci) remains one of the most recognizable anthems in the history of Polish rock. Over the years, the band has performed throughout Europe and shared the stage with artists including Deep Purple. Uriah Heep, Helloween, Kreator, Sepultura, Running Wild, Overkill, Pretty Maids and Hanoi Rocks. Selected albums have also been distributed including through the German label Noise Records. In 2024 and 2025, Turbo embarked on the Forever Young in Metal tour, performing more than 20 shows across Poland. The tour culminated in two special concerts in Poznan and Warsaw, featuring guest appearances as well as enhanced visual and pyrotechnic production. The next chapter came with the release of Scars ( Blizny ) and the subsequent tour promoting the album. The new material was met with an enthusiastic response from audiences, proving that Turbo remains as relevant and creative as ever. Today, the band’s concerts combine the classic hits that helped shape generations of metal fans with new songs that show Turbo is still moving forward— powerful, uncompromising and fully dedicated to the stage.
