Our recent recommendations for Lost Horizon

Sell out warning! Few have done more to platform Arab music in Europe than Habibi Funk, smashing worn-out pre-conceptions with joyous 80s Cairo funk, dusty boom-bap from Beirut, and Libyan reggae scorchers. It’s been a hot second since Sturtz has been in town, so fever will be high for these obscure dancefloor gems and hard-won digging artefacts. Come get schooled by a true globe-trotter! Habibi Funk at Lost Horizon.

Sell out warning! More breakdancing in the club please! Olympic breaker Emma Houston aka Shortbread takes the floor for the last Soft Butch ‘til Pride. World-class contemporary movement meets the usual somatics-rooted dancefloor meditations and sensual club selections from LEXX and crew. SOFT BUTCH with Emma Houston and LEXX at Lost Horizon.

Sell out warning! Deptford keepers of London’s ancestral jazz secrets, Steam Down are easily the most exciting thing on the astral map since Kamasi Washington re-ignited the Brainfeeder flame. Unmissable fusion futurism’s on the Horizon in this special celebration of Analogue Lounge’s unstoppable open jam > vinyl-only club formula. 3 Years of Analogue Lounge w/ Steam Down at Lost Horizon.

1Xtra and BBC 6 radio icon Jamz Supernova comes through for a special IWD sesh with Shangri-La’s NOMAD femme collective. Always focussed on platforming the freshest global bass, expect everything from house to gqom, baile to breaks and amapiano to leftfield electronics, all raising cash for grassroots aid in Gaza. International Women's Day for an all-femme lineup!

Sell out warning! Analogue Lounge are really making a dent on winter dancefloors with the heat radiating off their patented open jam > vinyl-only club formula. Taking the DJ reins this round: Reform Radio fav Juno and her funk-fueled selections of jazzed-out diva house, shuffling broken beat and syncopated global delights. We are back! This time joined by Manchester/London’s very own Juno
