A Radical History of Protest Banners at Made My Wardrobe

A event on Friday 3rd November. The event starts at 19:00.

Join Lettering Artist and Banner Maker, Alice Gabb, as she takes you through some of her favourite moments in banner making history.

From secret societies, to peace campaigning, to trade unions, Alice picks out examples that have inspired and shaped her own practice, exploring the visual culture of social movements.

If you are interested in sharing a strong message through the medium of textiles Alice’s talk will get you fired up to start cutting and sewing.

This event will be hosted by Made My Wardrobe Textile Studio, 27 Portland Square, Bristol, BS2 8SA
