How to Save a Forest - Bristol at Malcom X Community Centre
TICKETS: £12.00 on https://events.humanitix.com/howtosaveaforest

A event on Thursday 12th February. The event starts at 19:00.

Join us in Bristol for a special screening of tree climbing adventure turn conservation film, LAMO AURU - Old Forest, New Lines. Featuring Waldo Etherington, Leo Houlding and Tom Winterton, the film exhibits their 2019 expedition through the Lamo Auru caldera, a truly special patch of Papua New Guinean rainforest. Here they explore one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth, climb otherworldly trees into the high canopy, and in befriending their indigenous guides, learn about the threats and politics that surround this forest. The event will be hosted by expedition leader Waldo Etherington and filmmaker Ross Vernon McDonald. Following the screening they will discuss their next project, titled “How to Save a Forest”. With which Waldo is imminently returning to PNG to begin work with the indigenous land holders. His aim is to create a community led conservation initiative that protects their forest and ancestral land seen in the film, the Lamo Auru caldera.
