Phil King will be kicking us off with an evening of thoughtful and evocative folk music at Midsomer Norton Town hall (Saturday 16 May). Phil has toured the UK and Europe in recent years as well as appearing on BBC Radio 2 and will bring his collection of folk songs to a unique setting. There's a growing folk and roots scene in the area with storytelling, acoustic and roots evenings popping up across Midsomer Norton, Radstock and Frome and Phil's appearance will bring this to life.
With support from the wholesome and hugely talented Bristol based Singer/Songwriter Emily Teague. Born of the creative seas in Bristol, Emily merges the stories of traditional music. With a decisive nod towards folk and the stark qualities of confessional song writing of the 60's, Emily adds in the primal yearning of deep southern country and the undeniable essence of the'Bristol sound'.
