A celebration of some of Bristol's finest beers, wines, ciders and spirits will take centre stage this September as the inaugural Grape and Grain Festival launches in Millennium Square.

TV celebrity chefs Mary Berry, Aldo Zilli and The Hobbs House baker brothers are among the culinary stars taking part in the brand new festival of taste on Bristol's Harbourside from Thursday 11th to Sunday 14th September.

Set under cover in an all weather marquee, thousands of visitors will be able to enjoy the late summer vibes of the city with a quality selection of wines, beers, ciders and spirits matched with delicious freshly prepared food in a relaxed setting. A backdrop of live music together with well-known chefs will create dramatic theatre in the kitchen with live cooking demonstrations and advice on pairing the drinks' delicious flavours with wonderful dishes.

Tickets are already selling fast and are available from http://www.grapegrainfestival.co.uk. A special early bird ticket price is available for £15 per person before the event. Single day tickets will be £22.50 thereafter. VIP tickets are available for £75 and includes priority entry into the festival and a champagne breakfast with the celebrity of the day, Friday, Aldo Zilli, Saturday, Ed Baines and Sunday, Mary Berry.

A festival launch evening on Thursday 11th September, which will host live music, wine tasting, a charity auction and a cooking demonstration by Aldo Zilli

Cooking demonstrations and workshops from Aldo Zilli on Friday, Ed Baines and baker brothers, Tom and Henry Herbert on Saturday and Mary Berry and Lucy Young on Sunday.

Wine, beer and cider tasting sessions, with top wine experts Ewan Lacey and Nigel Barden and local specialists

Wine tasting master classes from Bristol Wine School

Cake decorating workshops with Clifton Cakes

Cookery classes from Hobbs House School

The festival is family friendly, where face paints and a series of children's activities and events will take place on the Sunday, including a festival trail, children's goody bags, children's cookery workshops and competitions. Children will also be able to enjoy a wild cookery workshop with CBBC's Jess Noy, the Gamekeeper's Daughter.
