Riverine and I : A poetic procession alongside the Frome Gateway at Mina Road Park and Riverside Park

A event on Thursday 25th June. The event starts at 19:00.


Meet in Mina Road Park to make an offering to the River Frome then join the procession through the M32 underpass to follow the river to Riverside Park between St Pauls and Easton.

A spot steeped in community memory, the intention is to pay homage to the River Frome and with reverence, meditation and prayer call to the spirit of the river for protection and community prosperity.

The short walking procession will close with open poetry and performance contributions.

June 25th marks the feast day of
Transatlantic water deity, Mami Wata.

Participants are encouraged to join a simple costume and banner making workshop to be held the evening before and wear any combination of white, blue, green on the day.
