St Werburghs Community Centre proudly present its fourth'Mini-Festival' Picnic in the Park, to take place at Mina Road Park, St Werburghs, Bristol on Sunday, 1st September 2012 between 1 and 5pm.

Picnic in the Park is going to be a community-led, fun-filled, family-friendly extravaganza designed specifically to cater for every age and taste, aiming at gathering the whole community together. Last year was blessed with fantastic weather and over 1000 people attended the event.

Tutors from St Werburghs Community Centre will be hosting keep-fit and healthy living workshops, including a fantastic Zumba workout with Nectaria Pospori and Tai Chi with Dennison Joseph. There will also be a break dancing tournament, massage workshops, henna tattoos and hula hooping activities.

We have a creative workshop area with Arts Westside and St Werburghs City Farm for family fun.

There will also be many local acts performing including Chicapella, Phresh Bois, Sisters Of Swing, Red Notes Choir, Bristol Samba and the Mysterious Calculators.

This year there will be a raffle, with prizes to be announced.

We are supported by University of Bristol RAG Fund and Community Games Fund, both distributed by the Quartet Community Foundation, and Bristol City Council Community Festivals and Events Fund.
