A event on Saturday 31st March. The event starts at 20:00.

Musicroom, the UK's largest music retailer, is proud to be taking part in the inaugural National Learn to Play Day launching on Saturday March 31st, coordinated by Music for All.

Recently awarded Multiple Retailer of the Year for 2011 by the MIA, there is no surprise that 16 of Musicroom's 19 stores across the country will be offering their support by hosting events on the day, including Musicroom Bristol.

Music for All, the charity for the UK musical instrument industry, is the organiser behind the concept; inviting music retailers to open their doors and offer instrument advice and'taster' lessons to the general public.

There are 15 million people in the UK that either want to play an instrument or used to play one. The Day is designed to welcome people into music shops and to inspire them to get playing. People are often surprised to discover that they ARE musical and simply need a musical'experience' to get them inspired to start playing, which is where the staff at Musicroom come in. A key string to Musicroom's bow is the expertise, experience and sheer musical passion of its staff.

The Day will see Musicroom providing free lessons on guitars, keyboards, drums and saxophones, supported by music teachers who will offer additional guidance on learning to play. Everyone is welcome to come in and try something new, or get tips and advice from Musicroom's experienced in store experts, making it the ideal retailer to connect to the hearts and minds of musicians. The Day's activities will start at 10am and go on until 4:30pm.
