Katherine McDermid Smith & I Am People at Native Vine, Redfield

A gig on Wednesday 28th January. The event starts at 19:15.

Welcoming 'I am People' and Katherine McDermid Smith, hosted by Elly Hopkins - 'Good for the soul' (Bristol 24/7)

I Am People is a Bristol-based singer-songwriter crafting immersive electronic pop through live looping, drum machines, synthesisers and voice. Her performances unfold as richly layered, rhythmic soundscapes — atmospheric and emotive, balancing pulse-driven electronics with intimate vocal delivery.

Katherine McDermid Smith weaves her mysterious, melancholic vocals over north‑African‑tinged rhythms and intricate finger‑picked guitar. Her soul‑folk sound echoes the lineage of Joni Mitchell and Laura Nyro, with a touch of Nick Drake’s delicate, searching beauty.
