10 Years of Alternate - Part 1.

In celebration of Alternate's 10th anniversary of throwing parties, we are going INNNN across Easter Weekend with two massive shows. For Part 1 on Easter Saturday, we are taking over a previously unused industrial park space called 'UNIT3' and hosting a multi-genre day party, complete with VOID Acoustics Sound System and a serious artist line-up, covering 130-174 sonics! We are very excited to be the first users of this unique and exciting new event space!

The original dons of jungle; FABIO & GROOVERIDER headline, returning to play Alternate for the first time since 2015. Since coming together professionally 30+ years ago, Fabio & Grooverider have consistently curated and educated generations of jungle/drum & bass fans around the world. Starting with their own residencies at places like London’s Rage and Speed — the first-ever jungle nights — the two eventually joined forces for their groundbreaking and award-winning BBC Radio 1 show, which educated the masses for 14 years.

Alongside is CHLOÉ ROBINSON, formally Barely Legal, who makes her Alternate debut, b2b with Bristol and Gutterfunk's mighty ADDISON GROOVE, for a showcase in multi-genre-mixing mastery, covering murky techno, garage, breakbeat and rave flavours. [ARTIST TBA] and MC FOX bring the premium drum & bass vibes, whilst OM UNIT and J:KENZO meet b2b for an exclusive B2B that we've been trying to make happen for a while - Who knows what will happen! RIZ LA TEEF is also on the bill, armed and ready with exclusive dubs and multi-genre dancefloor weaponry, alongside two of Bristol's most promising upcoming selectors; AMY KISNORBO and 140 specialist MINTY. Our special guests are the brand new Manchester outfit; REGENTS, comprising of STRATEGY and CARTRIDGE, making their Bristol debut with us!

A large bar will be serving cocktails, local beers and ciders (plus all of the usuals) throughout the day. UNIT3 drinks are very reasonably-priced - Look out for the cocktail happy hour TBA
On catering duties will be Bristol food aficionados Gormet Warriors, serving an exquisite combination and variety of meaty, vegetarian and vegan tacos all day!
