Tokyo-born, New York-residing Takuya Nakamura will be debuting in Bristol on Wednesday, the 4th of June, bringing you the Jungle Jazz flavours I know you have been craving.
A master of his craft, having spent years studying music in Japan and New York, he has paved his way with his unique, non-conforming way of self-expression.
He studied amongst academics and classically trained musicians, but found it limiting, so in 1990's Brooklyn, he started throwing weekly events that delved into the unknown, bringing together DJs, percussionists and musicians to create something new and exciting. In doing so, he helped to create a community.
