Lounge Cat Ideals Uptempo Swing sound pits riotous clarinet lines against delicate vocal harmonies, whilst drawing on the innate energy of Ska and Gypsy Jazz to keep feet moving.
The band was born in the midst of a biting Bristolian winter, when a rag-tag kindle of kittens huddled round a wood fire and began making their first primitive sounds to keep their tiny paws from shivering. Now, as a fully formed 6 piece ensemble, the Cats have grown to forge their own sound as well as a stomping live show, venturing to many a welcoming venue across the UK.
Lounge Cats have quickly become festival regulars, appearing at Glastonbury, Boomtown Fair, Bearded Theory, and Maui Waui to name but a few.
'The Circus is Real' EP was released in 2016 as a follow up to the band's 2015 debut. The new release sees the Cats develop a more raucous edge on 'Conform' and a sinister undertone on 'Mama' and 'Thick as Thieves', before the all out knees-up of 'So You Think You Can Dance?'.
