A
event
on Sunday 27th February. The event starts at 10:00.
A workshop series exploring the Chakra system in a supported and therapeutic yoga studio space near Ashton Court, with a view of Clifton Suspension bridge.
There will be seven workshops in the series. Each 3 workshop will explore an individual chakra and consist of practices to balance and enhance this energy centre. You are invited to attend as many or as few workshops as you like.
The first workshop will be an exploration of the Root chakra.
The Muladara (Root) chakra is situated at the base of the spine and is associated with safety, security, early childhood experiences, fear, trauma and our past lives.
When the root chakra is balanced you will feel grounded, stable, safe and comfortable in your own body and within the world around you, and your lower body and organs will be in good physical health.
In this workshop we will practice Kundalini yoga and breathwork, working with the body to release any old, stagnant energy within the first chakra, therapeutic technique to enquire into childhood issues and fears, and meditation to bring harmony and balance to mind and the body as a whole. You can expect to leave the workshop feeling grounded, peaceful and balanced with some learnt techniques to take away with you and to be able to practice on your own.
Please note that this is a seated workshop. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat/ cushion and water bottle with you. Option to bring a blanket and journal. Crystals welcomed and any other small sacred objects that connect you to your chakra system and kundalini energy that can be placed on the alter. Tea will be provided.
All are welcome to join.
