Steve Earle & The Dukes at O2 Academy

A gig held at O2 Academy on Wednesday 18th July. The event starts at 19:00.

Three-time Grammy winner Steve Earle is widely considered “one of the great singer-songwriters of the past four decades” (Guardian). Throughout his illustrious career (and chequered life) the Texas troubadour has turned his distinctive voice and heartbreaking lyrics to folk, blues, rockabilly, rock and bluegrass. Sounding “more energized and powerful than he has in years” (Pitchfork) River Town welcomes this Americana icon to the stage, backed by his long-time band The Dukes and performing tracks old and new.

Support from The Mastersons.

Now in its fourth year, River Town brings the music of America’s heartland to Bristol. This year’s festival promises a vibrant programme of blues, bluegrass, country and gospel, performed by global icons and rising stars.

This show is part of River Town 2018 and Colston Hall Presents, taking place at O2 Academy Bristol.
