A
clubnight
held at The Old Crown Courts

The drama will play out across underground prison cell's and two wood-panelled rooms - each complete with judges’ benches, at the Old Crown Courts in Bridewell Island (former police station) Passing judgement and performing sentencing will be a hot line-up of DJ talent, all of which will be keen to see that proceedings take place in an orderly fashion.

First up; Terry Francis, one of the pioneers of the UK tech-house scene, and an long-standing resident at London's institution Fabric. Terry won MUZIK Magazine’s “Best New DJ” award back in 1997, and has been at the forefront of the tech-house scene ever since.
In the court next door, sentencing will be issued by Ninja Tune’s longest serving producer, DJ Food aka Strictly Kev. He’s been a mainstay of the label’s brilliant Solid Steel show for two decades, creating some of the best mix-tapes of all time, and is guaranteed to incite a court-room riot with his party-minded fusion of dancefloor-friendly styles.
Alongside him in the dock will be Bristol’s own Dave Cridge, a Ninja Tune star in his days touring worldwide with Up, Bustle & Out during the 1990's and 2000's.
Across the course of the night, more criminally good DJs will be released from the holding cells to take their place. These include Bristol-based Jamaican Bass heavyweights Titan Sound, the bassbin-bothering Riddim Wize Soundsystem, police-dodging free party deep house crew Duvet Vous, Laid Blak’s DJ Bunjy, and the Semi-Peppered DJs. Assuming no plea bargain is agreed upon, there will also be a live set from Yuki Ame.
With more to be announced; the jury is definitely still out on this one.
Spaces on the public gallery are bound to go fast, so do yourself a favour and grab tickets while you can. After all, everybody wants their own day in court!
