"Sell out warning! Starting as they mean to go on, PAPAYA Fest kicks off with afrobeats and reggaeton heat from DJ Ivicore, a transcendent live fusion of traditional Colombian rhythms and electronics from XAMAN X and high-energy, Latinx-club selections from Bristol’s very own Booty Bass. "

A gig held at The Old Market Assembly on Friday 7th October. The event starts at 22:00.

Headlining Friday’s opening fiesta will be Bristol’s favourite tropical bass band, XAMAN X, combining live electronics, traditional Colombian instrumentation and outstanding Latin percussion; followed by a Latin-inspired set from empowering female and non-binary collective Booty Bass with some hardcore Afro-Caribbean beats supplied by Venezuelan DJ Ivicore.

Come and celebrate the opening night of PAPAYA Fest - the deliciously juicy festival of Anglo-Latinx music & theatre at The Old Market Assembly and Wardrobe Theatre, Bristol.

PAPAYA Fest platforms a proudly LGBTQ+ friendly message and champions female voices within its unique fusion of British and Latin American cultures.
