This stripped back monthly Monday evening open mic night invites musicians of all abilities to celebrate live music together, whether by way of flexing your instrumental skills, showcasing new material, freeform improv or playing a beloved old standard/cover.
With an emphasis on acoustic/stripped back performances (i.e. acoustic guitar, singers, spoken word, small percussive instruments), this is an opportunity to share your talent with fellow musicians, music lovers and everyday customers at the beautiful Old Market Assembly venue!
Guitars / bass amps / a small busking drum kit will also be available for those who require them however we would encourage you to bring your own instrument(s) where possible (the quirkier the better!).
Bringing the night to a collaborative climax, a free open jam will take place from 10pm - this month featuring Bristol-based indie rock 5-piece: 5am Fire Alarm. Anyone is welcome to join them on stage or simply enjoy the music.
‘Assembly Nights: Unplugged’ is hosted by local artist / musician / sound engineer, Eleri. She will be on hand at each event to welcome all guests, look after the sound and guide each performer through the process.
